What is Thimphu Tshechu?
The festival honors Guru Rinpoche (the 8th-century Buddhist master who brought Vajrayana Buddhism to Bhutan). It features grand masked dances (Cham), religious rituals, and folk performances, all performed in the majestic courtyard of Tashichho Dzong.
