Meet & Greet on the time of arrival after reaching Jaigaon / Phuentsholing from Bagdogra Airport & transfer to Phuentsholing – The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. Phuentsholing is a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check in at the hotel.Overnight at Phuentsholing / Jaigaon.
On Arrival, Meet & Greet with your Tour Representative from All Ways Tours and Travels, and Proceed for Immigration formalities & transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan & local Sightseeing on the way to Thimphu. On arrival check- in at the hotel & over Night Stay at Thimphu
Embark on an exciting journey through Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital and the residence of the royal family. Start your day with a visit to Buddha Point and Simply Bhutan, a living museum showcasing traditional Bhutanese life. The view from BBS Tower is stunning and provides a perfect introduction to Thimphu. Explore religious sites like the National Memorial Chorten and the historic Chang Gangkha Monastery. Nature lovers shouldn’t miss the National Zoo with its unique national animal, the takin. Discover Bhutan’s spiritual side at the National Library, and enjoy the local crafts at the Handicraft Market. In the evening, experience the grandeur of TashiChhodzong, the secretariat building and throne room of His Majesty. Spending the night in Thimphu adds to the allure, allowing you to appreciate the city’s charm as day turns to night to halt at Thimphu
Embark on a picturesque journey from Thimphu to Punakha, covering 73 kilometers in approximately 3 hours. Departing after breakfast, the scenic drive unveils the breathtaking Dochula Pass en route to Punakha, situated at an altitude of 1300m/4265ft. Blessed with fertile lands from the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, Punakha showcases its natural beauty and cultural richness. Commencing in the morning, your exploration begins with Punakha Dzong, the ‘Palace of Great Happiness,’ built in the 17th century and now serving as the winter residence for Je Khenpo, the head abbot, and a community of 1,000 monks. Afternoon ventures include a visit to the historic Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s oldest, and Chimi Lhakhang, the 15th-century Temple of Fertility. This pilgrimage site for couples concludes your day. As evening descends, immerse yourself in Punakha’s rich history and natural splendor, with an overnight stay allowing you to savor the tranquility of this captivating valley.
After Breakfast Morning Drive from Punakha to Gangtay (Phobjika) Sight Seeing Which also spelt Phobjika, the suffix kha means valley in Dzongkha) is a vast U- shaped glacial Valley. Also known as Gangtey Valley named after the impressive Gangtey Monastery of the Nyingma sect in Central Bhutan, where the Graceful Black- necked Cranes in Bhutan (Grus nigricollis) from the Tibetan Plateau visit the valley during the winter season to roost. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Gangtey
After Breakfast, Morning Drive to Paro from Gangtey and on arrival at Hotel, Evening Leisure time at Paro Hotel and Night halt
This morning, following a delightful breakfast, embark on a cultural journey in Paro. The day begins with a scenic drive to Ta Dzong, once a fortified lookout tower and now the National Museum. Explore the rich history and artifacts housed within. Afterward, a leisurely walk down the trail leads to Rinpung Dzong, meaning “fortress of the heap of jewels.” Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance and architectural beauty of this ancient fortress. The journey continues with a visit to Kichu Lhakhang, the country’s oldest temple, where you can witness centuries of Bhutanese religious heritage. Following a break for lunch, the exploration proceeds to Drugyal Dzong, also known as Bhutan Victory Fort, built in 1646 to commemorate Bhutan’s triumph over Tibetan invaders. On clear days, the breathtaking view of Mount Jumolhari, Bhutan’s second-highest peak at 7,314 meters, adds to the grandeur. The day’s adventures conclude in the evening, and you’ll spend a peaceful night in Paro, savoring the cultural treasures and natural beauty encountered throughout the day.’
After breakfast hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, which is Bhutan’s most famous monastery situated at 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche (the great spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. The monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley. Overnight at Paro. After breakfast drive to Chele-La-Pass (13,088 ft.) – the highest motor able road in Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty & memorable landscapes from Chele-La-Pass. Back to Paro. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight at Paro.
After Breakfast check out from hotel and drive back towards Phuentsholing drop and on arrival check in the Hotel and night Halt
